As book marketing specialist at Goodreads, Cynthia Shannon helps authors and publishers effectively integrate Goodreads into their marketing campaigns. Previously, Cynthia worked as a book publicist at Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Wiley/Jossey-Bass, and Other Press. Cynthia helped launch the Bay Area Book Festival, and was a founding board member of the Young to Publishing Group Bay Area chapter. She has also volunteered at Reading Partners and 826 Valencia in San Francisco, and at Literacy Partners in New York. She holds a degree in journalism from New York University and speaks fluent German.
